EGYPTAIR deeply regrets to confirm that Flight XY001, operating from Frankfurt to Cairo, has been involved in an accident

The flight lost contact with Air Traffic Control at 11.00 UTC and has since been confirmed by the authorities to have crashed .

The aircraft was carrying 23 passengers and 7 crew members.

We are working closely with local authorities and emergency responders.

Our Special Assistance Teams are on site, and a Family Reception Center has been established to support relatives at Cairo Airport, Terminal 1, Air mall.

​تعلن شركة مصر للطيران بكل أسف أن الرحلة رقم xy001 من طراز B737-800 والقادمة من مطار فرانكفورت إلى مطار القاهرة الدولي قد تعرضت لحادث اثناء هبوط الطائرة، وكان على متن الطائرة 23 راكب و٧ من أفراد الركب الطائر.

وتعمل الشركة بالتنسيق الكامل مع السلطات المحلية وجهات الطوارئ.

كما تم تفعيل فرق المساعدة الخاصة، وتم تفعيل مركز استقبال العائلات لتقديم الدعم والمساندة.
