After reaching an altitude of 10,000 feet, to connect to the onboard Wi-Fi network, just follow these three simple steps: -
1.Activate the WI-FI service on your mobile phones.
2.Choose the Wi-Fi network "EGYPTAIR".
3.Open the Internet browser and enter www.wifi-pax.egyptair.com to choose from the available Internet packages.
-Free texting and free messages throughout the whole flight.*
-Free VOIP calls, free email access and free browsing for 1 hour (For flights up to 10 hours) OR for 2 hours (For flights more than 10 hours).*
Paid data package: 300 MB for $ 16
Paid data package: 500 MB for $ 26
N.B-> VOIP calls means voice over internet protocol for calls through the internet applications.
Voice Call Charges
Onboard communication will be charged by your home mobile service provider, at international roaming rates, as is the case when you use your mobile phone abroad.
Important notice: As a courtesy to fellow passengers, please set your mobile device to silent or Vibrate mode.
Use of your mobile phone is prohibited when the sign is illuminated.
Video Streaming
Video streaming service is available on the Boeing 737MAX8.
A.Any audio will play directly in browser regardless of device type.
B.Video without DRM encryption (usually TV and local movies) will play directly in browser regardless of device type.
C.Video with DRM encryption (usually Hollywood movies)
i.PC or Map Laptop – Use Latest Chrome browser.
ii.Android Phone or Tablet – Use Latest Chrome browser
iii.Apple iOS Phone or Tablet – Cabin Media Player App must be used. This needs to be downloaded from App store beforehand.
