Seat reservations

You can select your preferred seat on EGYPTAIR Economy Class International operated flights after or while booking. Standard seat selection is Free for customers who are:

  • Travelling internationally in Economy on a Fully Flex Fare
  • Travelling internationally in Business Class
  • EGYPTAIR Platinum Frequent Flyer members
  • During check- in

Seat selection is available for a charge for customers travelling in international Economy class,

Except for passengers on Y and B classes;  seat selection is free.

Terms and conditions:

This service is NOT available on EGYPTAIR's Domestic Flights.
In case of no show, the guest will lose the full value of the service (EMD).
This service can only be provided up 48 hours before depature time.
EGYPTAIR has the right to change the pre-paid seat of the guest after boarding the aircraft for security reasons or any safety reasons if the guest does not comply with safety requirements.


Exit row seat requirements and conditions:

    Only able-bodied customer 15 years old & above can be seated in Exit row.

    Exit seats are not allowed for the following customers:

  • Customers with Reduced Mobility (PRMs) physically or mentally.
  • Customers who are unable to understand & carry out instructions given in English.
  • Exit row seats will not be assigned to passengers who are unwilling to assist in the event of an emergency.
  • A person lacking the ability to read, hear or understand emergency relevant instructions.
  • Customers who are unable to reach, open, lift & throw out the exit door in an emergency.
  • A person lacking sufficient strength or dexterity to operate and open the emergency exit, to exit expeditiously, and to assist others in getting off an escape slide (if any).
  • Customers who because of physical status, age or sickness have difficulty in moving quickly.
  • Customers whose physical size would prevent them from moving quickly.
  • Customers who travelling with anyone who would require their assistance in the event of an emergency.
  • Customers travelling during pregnancy.
  • Not applicable for child, unaccompanied minors , customer with infant, (CBBG) cabin baggage, live animal, Service dog, Falcons, Medical equipment (PPOC / CPAP), musical instruments.

EGYPTAIR has the sole discretion, at check-in or boarding, to determine whether a passenger meets the requirements to sit in an exit row seat. If the passenger does not meet the requirements, they will be assigned a different seat

Additional conditions

  • Exit row seat refund conditions are independent of fare refund conditions.

The following information applies to all seat selections, although note that requirements and additional conditions apply to the purchase of exit row seats.

  • Prices quoted are subject to change. Prices apply to all fare types for extra legroom seats, including exit row seats.
  • Seat selection is subject to the availability of requested seats.
  • Passengers who wish to sit next to each other but have made separate bookings will need to request their seat independently. EGYPTAIR is not able to advise on the seat selection of passengers on other bookings.
  • At any time up to 48 hours prior to scheduled departure, provided you have not checked in for the flight, you may change your seat request to:
    • move to an available seat of higher value within the same cabin (for example an extra legroom seat) on payment of any price difference.
    • upgrade to a seat in a higher cabin, however, the amount paid for seat selection will not be refunded
  • If in accordance with your fare rules you select to move to another flight, the amount paid for your selection can be transferred to your new flight. Any price difference is payable.
  • Seat selection is not transferable to another passenger.
  • Seat selection is non-refundable unless:
    • EGYPTAIR changes your seat for operational, safety or security reasons (even after boarding the aircraft), and we are unable to seat you in a suitable alternative.
    • upgrade to a seat in a higher cabin, however, the amount paid for seat selection will not be refunded
    • There is a flight disruption causing you to be moved to another flight and EGYPTAIR moves you to a flight not operated by EGYPTAIR.
  • Seat selection is non-refundable if we have moved you to a seat in a higher cabin class for operational, safety or security reasons
  • Seat selection refund conditions are independent of fare refund conditions.
  • In the event of an aircraft change, the same or a similar seat may be allocated. Passengers will not be contacted if this occurs before check-in but may check the position of the allocated seat online via manage booking.
  • Passengers will still be required to check-in before their flight departure. Select seats at check-in through manage booking.
  • Seat requests cannot be guaranteed as they may need to be changed for operational, safety or security reasons, even after boarding the aircraft.

In the event of (No Show) the guest will lose full value of the seat selection voucher.
EGYPTAIR reserve the right to change the prepaid seat before and after boarding the aircraft for safety reasons or any reason related to safety procedures and that when the guest not adhere by the set out safety conditions that approved by guest during the online or mobile booking of the seat.
EGYPTAIR will make the necessary actions to accommodate the selected seat, due to operational circumstances or reasons beyond the control of EGYPTAIR we may not grantee the selected seat and the guest can request for a full refund to the amount paid for seat selection by contacting EGYPTAIR call center or EGYPTAIR’s nearest office.

Family Seating

EGYPTAIR will do everything possible to ensure children under the age of 14 are seated close to their accompanying family member. We recommend booking early and selecting seat assignments when you book. You can select seats through EGYPTAIR.COM, EGYPTAIR'S APP, Call center or your travel agent. There may be additional charges for seat assignments depending on which fare you select. If you don't select your seats in advance, we'll do our best to find adjoining seats for your family on the same reservation in the cabin you booked. However, available seats may be limited at that time
EGYPTAIR will make sure all reasonable effort is made by its staff, flight attendants and through in-flight procedures, to seat children under the age of 14 next to their accompanying adult.
